Yangjiang City is the Knives and Scissors Capital of China.It has a long history of manufacturing and marketing knives and scissors,which have unique craftsmanship,numerous varieties and fine quality,and have been exported to over 100 countries and regions.Yangjiang has developed as China’s production and export base of household metal products,knives and scissors,with their value of output and value of export accounting for 64% and 84% of the national total respectively.Three enterprises in Yangjiang have been nominated as the Kichen Knife Center of China,the Scissors Center of China and the PocketknifeCenter of China one after another.
The 6th China (Yangjiang) International Knives & Scissors Fair and 7th Tourism & Culture Festival of Yangjiang will be held at the China Knives and Scissors Exhibition Center in Yangjiang on October 24 to 27,2007.Based on the theme of manufacturing state-of-the-arts knives and scissors and enjoying beautifulmountains and waters,the grand gathering will include such activites as exhibition,trade,exchange ofinformation,seminars and promotion of investment and tourism culture,so that the Chinese exhibitorscan expand their international marketshares and the foreign counterparts can explore their businessopportunities in China.

YANGJIANG
A BEAUTIFUL CITY AND A HOT LAND FOR INVESTMENT
Yangjiang City is located in the southwestern coast of Guangdong Province,with a total area of 7,813 square kilometers and a population of 2.6 million.It is adjacent to Hong Kong and Macao,in between Gwangzhou(the capital city) and Zhanjiang(the southwestern-most city of the province).It has convenient transportation to connect the main cities of the province.It takes 2 hours to Guangzhou and 2 and half hours to Zhuhai by car.
Yangjiang’s light industry is advanced.Pocketknives,fermented soya beans and lacquerware are the traditional "3-treasures",which are famous at home and abroad.It has developed a featured industrial system with metal products,knives and scissors,foods processing,light industry,textile and garment manufacturing,pharmaceutical and chemical industry,machinery and electric industry,building materials,furniture,and weaving and knitting as its mainstay.It has developed as a main production and export base of metal products,knives and scissors of our country.
Yangjiang is nominated as the top Tourist City of China,and has a National Class AAAA attraction,the Dajianwan Beach of Hailingdo Island Resort.
Yangjiang City enjoys its frtile land,pleasant climate,rich natural resources and productes,and plenty marine resourcces.It is an important agricultural production base and a city with great marine production of Guangdong Province.It has a national central fishing port and a National Class A Port,the Yangjiang Seaport.The Yangjiang New and High-Tech Industrial Development Zone is a provincial high-tech development zone,with a planned area of 46 square kilometers.This development zone together with other various industrial parks has become the inmprtant places for Yangjiang to develop new industries and the hot place for attracting new investment.By far,Yangjiang has consstructed an optimized investment environment and established economic and trade relationships with 117 foreign countries and regions.Yangjiang City is becoming more and more popular place for investment,real estate development,toruism,sports and competitions,convention and exhibition,as wel as an ideal place of trading and shopping.
